Obituary of Felix Creighton Germuth
Felix Creighton Germuth passed away on January 23, 2019 having recently celebrated her 91st birthday with family and friends.
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, she attended Wake Forest University in Wake Forest, NC as part of the first class of women. Among other things she was a mother, homemaker, pet owner, voracious reader of history and politics, and a competitive duplicate bridge player, earning the status of Life Master. She was a lifelong Democrat, proud southerner, and a believer in equal rights for all people.
She is survived by her two daughters, Felix Blumhardt (Glen) and Amy Germuth (Sandra Metz); her stepson Fred Germuth (Susan); her two grandchildren (Cameron Blumhardt and Jack Blumhardt); and her two granddogs (Bear Blumhardt and Jasper Germuth-Metz).
She was proceeded in death by too many pets to include here, all well-loved and overfed, as well as multiple non-pets, all also overfed.
A private ceremony will be held with family only. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local animal protection society or humane shelter.
The Germuth family is under the care of Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
