Dear Carolyn and family, I knew your mom during her years at Shandon Pres. My, what a delight she was!! My husband died in 2000 also, and strange as it may seem, your Folks are interred beside Richard Childers and where I will be . I remember asking Louise sometime that year, how she was doing, and she answered, "fine, I suppose, but I miss my hugs". Never were truer words spoken! My sympathy goes to all of you for the loss of dear, dear, Louise. Sincerely, Sigrid Childers Hyman

Dear Carolyn, I am thinking of you and your family after reading about Louise's death. She was a wonderful woman, as you already know, and I was fortunate to have known both her and your father. You were in my G.A. group when a young girl at Beulah Church and such a delight! We have lost contact but I often would wonder about the family. My husband died four years ago but my daughters, Jane in Charlotte, Karen in Simsonville, keep me straight! I have four grandchidren who have been a delight, am still in my home at Horrell Hill and enjoying life. I attend First Presbyterian Church in Columbia. I would love to see you and wanted to express my sympathy to you. Love, Margaret Courtney

Dear Carolyn, I remember you well. Your mother was my first and second grade teacher. I think you are a year older. She was just great! I picked her out in the Schneider school auditorium and hoped she would call my name. I just loved her and it is probably the reason that I taught for thirty years. My lifelong love of reading and teaching reading can be traced to that two years with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Robin Boyle McLeod
