Obituary of James Wayne Nobblitt

HILLSBOROUGH - Mr. James Wayne Nobblitt, 81, died May 1, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family following a brief illness. He was born February 14, 1932, in Galax, VA. He was in the US Air Force 1950-1954 and served in the Korean War 1952-1953. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Regina; his daughter, Sandra Jean and husband, Dr. Bruce Tripp of Greenville, NC, his son, Terry Wayne Nobblitt and wife, Robyn, of Hillsborough, NC, four grandchildren: Jeffrey Tripp, Elizabeth Tripp, Christopher Nobblitt and Jessie Nobblitt. There will be the scattering of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chapel Hill Meals on Wheels or Duke Home Health and Hospice.
