Obituary of Joyce Johnson Miller

PITTSBORO - Mrs. Joyce Johnson Miller, 83, of Pittsboro, died Monday, April 29, 2013 in Hospice Home of Alamance. Joyce was born on January 17, 1930 in Orange County, NC, daughter of the late Allen J. Johnson, Sr. and Audrey Ray Johnson . She was a retired beautician and member of Dasmascus Congregational Christian Church. She is survived by her husband: Norwood E. Miller; daughter: Linda Carson Moore; son: William Allen Carson (Carolyn); brother: Allen J. Johnson, Jr.(Carol); 4 stepchildren; grandchildren: Brad Gallagher (Heidi), Brian Gallagher (Theresa), Wendy Carson, Angela Carson, Allen Carson (Shannon), and Lori Riley (Johnny); great-grandchildren: Heather, Denton, Cody, Tyler, Katelyn, Preston and Brianna Gallagher, Austin and Haylee Riley, Dave Carson, Trevor Lewis, Chasity Carson, and Thurston Choplin, Jr. The family would like to thank all the staff at Hospice Home of Alamance for their outstanding and compassionate care given to Mrs. Miller and her family. The family will receive friends from 6 till 7:30 pm, Wednesday, May 1st at Walker's Funeral Home in Mebane. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 2nd in Dasmascus Congregational Christian Church Cemetery by Rev. Ernie Keck.
