Sorry for the timing of this delayed tribute, but I have a picture of many of the RTP staff during a PFD photo shoot that I use as a screen saver. The picture came up this afternoon and I paused for a minute to look at it. In the picture, Jim is front and center, and smiling. I trained under Jim in 1992 when I started UL fresh out of college. I remember Jim being both knowledgeable and patient. I left UL for 9 years and returned later. Jim's legacy and tenure is becoming more and more rare in today's world. I sincerely hope his family has found peace, while knowing you miss Jim. UL certainly does too.

Thinking of All the Bessoir family. I worked with Jim in the late 80's, 90's and early 00's. He always had a smile and was always working hard for the testing of UL. He will be greatly missed. I smiled yesterday when his Steelers beat the Patriots. You know he is smiling too. I know Miss Olivia brought him so much joy being his first grandbaby.

To The Bessoir Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Jim will be missed by many. Just know that Psalm 139:16 says, “our days are written in God’s book even before we were born,” so just know that he is with God as he is supposed to be and we have no control over that. Love Peggy.

"Go baby go!", one of my favorite memories of Jim was him screaming this at the TV anytime the Steelers scored.

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Jimmy, I worked with him at UL since 1986. He was funny, stubborn and an all around pleasant person at work, he was an excellent lab tech and everyone wanted him to handle their testing. He will truly be missed by us all as he already was since his retirement. To his family especially his children I mourn for the loss of your father and the loss of the Grandchildren who will never get the chance to know him, but know that you will carry his memory onward so they can know who he was..

To the Bessoir family,
I am SO sorry to hear about your loss. I got to know Jim very well during my 16 years @ UL and he was an outstanding friend. Unfortunately, many friendships faded after departures from UL, and ours wasn't any different. However, that certainly doesn't mean I've lost any fond memories and/or shared experiences I had with Jim and he will be sorely missed. May the love you share as a family get you through this most difficult time.
Most sincerely,
Jay Dunmire
