Carolyn and Family,
I know no words from me can ease your bereavement. It is with heavy grief my family and I send our condolences. As we get older, we can come to expect these moments of distress but they do not get any easier. Sorrow comes to us all but also the knowledge that in time the relief will get better and we will have that fond memory to hold deep inside.

Virginia was the first person I came to know at HUMC while helping out at Vacation Bible School many years ago. She made me feel so welcome and I immediately liked her so much. The entire time I was going through cancer she showed such care and concern for me and Hersel. She was a very special person and will be greatly missed. Brenda Smith

I worked with Kathryn Cates-Wessel for many years at Brown. She would often speak of her Mom. It was obvious that she was a very special lady. My deepest sympathy to Kathryn and her entire family for your loss.

This photo is the Virginia we knew. She was one of Aggie’s first friends in the church when we moved to Hillsborough fifteen years ago. She loved to tease Andre and vice versa. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and share your loss. She will live on in the many ways she touched us all.

How do you put into words memories of someone you have known all your life and who was so valuable to me during my years after moving back to Hillsborough...she was there when my parents were married, she and my mother were closest friends since teenage years, with reconnections later in life.....a warm and loving spirit, always willing to help, advise and "do". Her art hangs in my home, a reminder of her everyday. Only our prayers, hugs and wonderful remembrances can convey our tribute to her! How I will miss her.........................
