To The Bertsch Family,
As member of the Kosciusko County Shrine Club Charlie's contributions will always be remembered. I have ben an active member supporting the annual circus for the past 26 years. In which time we have taken approximately 40,000 children to the annual Shrine Circus. As you well know we feed each and every child, teacher, bus driver and emergency services escort. Charlie was always proud to be a part of this function of the club. I remember as a young Shriner, Charlie supervising the "packing of lunches" the night before the 'Circus". Unfortunately, after his retirement this function is no longer done by the club. No other business was willing to support this mission as Charlie did.
To the Bertsch family, "Es Selamu Aleikum" (Peace Be With You). Our club, community and indeed Shrinedom as a whole will be bereft of a invaluable member.
As the Grand Architect, in his infinite wisdom, has seen to call our brother Charles home,
"So Mote It Be" (The Will of God Be Done).
May you all be blessed with Charlie's legacy of compassion and the blessing of our heavenly Father.
