Obituary of Bratcher Warren Evans

Mr. Bratcher Warren Evans, 95, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He was a native of Orange County and attended St. Mary's School. He first worked with a saw mill and next with Bellevue Mills and retired from Western electric in Burlington. He started the Council of Aging and was the bus driver which he really enjoyed. His greatest joy was his family and his church where he taught senior Sunday school 1961-2017. Mr. Evans was a WWII veteran having served in the United States Navy.
Surviving are three daughters: Joyce E. Forrester (Jerry), Rebecca Evans, and Teresa E. McNeill (Tommy), and four sons: Paul Evans, James Evans (Ann), Mark Evans (Vicky) and Glenn Evans (Faye), grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Fannie and John Evans, and his daughter, Debra White.
A Funeral service was held 11 AM Friday, January 25, 2019 in Gospel Baptist Tabernacle by Pastor David Bolick. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
The Evans family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
