Much love to Jake, Ben, Hannah, Rachel, and Andy. I am so very sad that Jake is gone. I will miss him. I will miss hearing him call me Uncle Two Dogs, miss his joking playfulness, and miss just being around his bright, positive attitude. I have, like so many others, many fantastic memories of time spent with him and his amazing family. And I am thankful for those times and memories. Thank you Jake.

We will always cherish our memories with Jake - cooking meals, playing cards, listening to his jokes, listening to him sing/play belly bongos, and even gambling with jelly beans. What a special child that continues to teach us all the importance of counting our rainbows instead of our thunderstorms. Wish we could do something or say something to comfort your family and ease your grief. Please know we are here for you. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on or a hug, just call. Your friends, Rachel, Greg, Carson and Bradley

A joke in honor of Jake: What can be full and broken at the same time? Our hearts, thanks to Jake. He more than filled them every time we were together and, though broken over his passing, will continue to spill over into the lives of everyone we touch. True love never dies, it just keeps moving forward. Thanks for that, Jake.

To my nephew, my Godson...
I miss you now and forevermore.
You were a blessing to all who came into your amazing presence!
Rest now my love! I'm sure your beautiful grandmother and sweet cousin were waiting with open arms for you. ❤
To my brother and sister-in-law Rachel...
You have been, and continue to be, incredible parents. You have sacrificed, toiled, given, and loved more than more, and more than most. Be at peace and breathe.
To my niece Hannah and nephew Benjamin...
You may have taken the backseat in many instances to the needs of your brother, but that hasn't gone unnoticed nor unappreciated. Live your lives as a gift and to your fullest! You are both loved immensely!

To all Scogs and friends. I never knew Jake, but I feel like I do, in a way. I was lucky enough to have Nancy as a friend for many years. She was one of the best people in Oyster Bay, New York and even the US - that I ever knew. And Patrick, David and Rachel grew up with my sons. The Scognamiglio family is a fun-filled, talented, loving family. And I am sure that Jake was too.
Love to all.

Jake, what a precious soul. For me his timing was always perfect. I could be having a typical Monday and one phone call from Jake (with a joke of course) could change the mood of the whole day. I especially enjoyed the little chuckle he would add at the end of the punchline. We also recently played cards and when I would win it was no big deal but when he would win there was an exuberant "OH YEAH!". At his graduation I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek and told him that he's always thanking me for taking the time to talk to him but I always feel like I'm the one receiving that blessing. He puckered up, reached for me and pulled me in for a kiss on the cheek. Absolutely the sweetest. I will miss you until we meet again.

I will always remember Jake as one of the four that endured and fought alongside my son Howell Brown III.
They were all fighting the same battle knowing the odds of returning home safe and healthy were slim yet they all smiled and carried on. Today Ridge and Brody are still fighting.
I so hope that together we can see a day where this dreadful disease is cured as no child should have to endure what ours did.
I wish the family peace and healing as the loss of a child is never forgotten.
We can hope one day to be united again with our children in a forever place free from cancer.
God Bless
Howell Brown Jr

When we joined St .Thomas More in 2004, Jake was one of the first people we met. I remember that day as though it was yesterday. It was the first day of the Faith Development year and we had no idea what we were doing when the time for pick-up came. So, we waited (maybe not too patiently) in the gym. I was looking around trying to find my son and this joyous boy bounced up to me and Bryan and just started chatting...as if he had known us all his life! There was no way I could have known then what an impact he would have on our lives over the years. We always looked forward to running into Jake...at Faith Development or church or sometimes just out and about. We will continue to keep him, and your entire family, in our prayers.
