I just stumbled on this obituary and was sorry to learn of Paul’s passing. He was my freshman year proctor in Canada C at Harvard College. Somehow he tolerated/helped me and my roommates survive freshman year. He even laughed at a few of our shenanigans. Thanks Paul, and rest in peace. .

If I ever believed time dulls feelings, I know that I am wrong. Having spent almost all my childhood with Paul at Friends School, his death touched me deeply. Our roots stay with us our entire life. He was part of my root system. My prayers are with his siblings, his wife, father and children. He will be missed. But his place in my heart remains untouched.

I had the pleasure of meeting Paul Godley just once but he made an indelible impression on me as a truly godly man. His travel photographs were unique in their focus on the beauty and glory of people he met, however briefly, all over the globe. No animals; no buildings, just humanity at its best. I have fond memories of Paul and his siblings during our time at Friends School in Detroit. I am not surprised he went on to have such an extraordinary life. Sending prayers to the Godley family and all those who had the chance to know Paul. While his passing has come much too soon. May all take comfort in the numerous contributions Paul made for anyone who has confronted prostrate cancer or any cancer.

Dear Ada, Bria and Alegro, My sincerest condolences to you all on Paul's passing. He was a very special person in the lives of many people and will be missed greatly. I knew Paul in many of his roles and always admired his work, but most of all his kindness and caring attitude. He recently helped me deal with my daughter's cancer occurrence and treatment.
