Obituary of Edith Carroll Tyndall

Edith Marie Carroll Tyndall, age 73, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020.

She was a native of Durham and a retired employee of Orange County Schools. She was the owner and operator of ‘Kids Unlimited Daycare Centers’ for ten years. Wife of the late Curtis L. Tyndall, Jr. to whom she shared her life with for 47 years.

She is remembered by loved ones as a woman of strength, loyalty, and compassion. Edith was the pure definition of what it meant to be a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.

Edith is survived by her son, Curtis L. Tyndall III, and wife Shelley, Hillsborough; her daughter Allison T. Wilson, Mebane; brother Ricky L. Carroll, Hillsborough; brother Larry W. Carroll, Hickory; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Carroll and Marie Carroll; daughter Michelle T. McGeorge; brother Leroy Carroll, Jr. and sister Patsy Rhew.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 17th, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 2107 Liberty Street, Durham at 2 pm. Her children will receive family and friends at the conclusion of services at the home of Allison T. Wilson.

The Tyndall family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
