Obituary of Phillip Wayne Walker

Phillip Wayne Walker, Sr., age 70, passed peacefully in his sleep on June 4, 2020.  

Born on November 8, 1949, he is the son of the late William and Mary Walker.  He was employed by Quality Electric Company in Durham for 44 years. He is survived by his wife Geneva; a son Phillip Wayne Walker, Jr (wife Michele); daughter Keela Marie Walker and his beloved granddaughter Alayna Grace Riggsbee; sister Deborah Israel; life long friends Barry and Kathy Barbour and Larry and Judy Jackson.  

Wayne was an avid fisherman, a loving husband and a special kind of father and grandfather.

A memorial service / celebration  of life is  scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM and will be officiated by Pastor Todd Moody.  A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough who is assisting the Walker family.
