Obituary of John Bingham Ray

HILLSBOROUGH Rev. John Bingham "Jack" Ray passed away on Jan. 5th, 2013 after several months of declining health. He was the son of the late U.S. Ray, Sr. and Bessie Craig Ray. Jack earned his Batchlors Degree in history and religion from Carson Newman University in Johnson City, TN and his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as pastor for churches in Orange, Johnston, Alamance and Chatham counties He is survived by his wife Patsy, one niece, five nephews and one sister-in-law. A memorial service, with Rev. Jack Edge officiating, will be held at Cane Creek Baptist Church Tuesday at 2:00 PM, with interment in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance/Caswell. 918 Chapel Hill Rd.
