This glass mosaic pelican with Cassie’s name on a wing is in memory of my beloved, and forever missed, Cassie. An artist friend gifted this to me and it represents Cassie’s spirit forever flying pain free with the pelicans after so many years of enduring pain.

I was drifting through memories yesterday and thought... I wonder where Cassie is these days? My heart is broken finding this news. We were very close HS friends, I always hoped to be dating, but instead we were more like siblings... two proms and a homecoming dance (if my memory serves me correctly?), and countless hours on the phone (the type attached to the wall -remember those?). We shared many walks, many talks, and many dreams, but found our separate peace as we parted for college... there are few people in my life with whom I could honestly say I shared an emotionally close telepathic lane (if only briefly during the tumult of teenaged angst). She remains loved for those few too brief years and corresponding volumes of memories. God speed. And I'm sorry for everyone's shared loss. -Alex T.

Cassie was one of my oldest and dearest friends. We met many years ago when we were two of the first three women to ever work as servers at the Hardcover Restaurant in Danvers, MA (Cassie was the second and I was the third). Our friendship stayed strong through many moves and life events. We shared a love of family, kitties, home decorating, cooking, clothes, makeup and girly stuff. I'm posting some pictures of our visits over the years. My favorites are my son Andy with his "Aunt Cassie". You can tell from the pictures that they shared a special bond. I will miss her dearly.

Kelly, thank you so much for sharing your remembrances and pictures. I love the pictures....really a special selection! I remember Cassie once bought sets of shields/swords at a local Celtic festival for your sons but I cannot recall if they were ever sent as they were not mail friendly items. Most of all, thank you for being Cassie's "forever friend". Your call telling me that your family would welcome all three of Cassie's precious kitty family into your home was a miracle of the heart.

While I met Cassie many years ago (I think while visiting my sister in Boston), it was only in the last eight years or so that I got to know her. We have often shared our love for cats, the latest tech, and good vampire stories. All my love and thoughts for Cassie, her family, and her friends. She will be missed.
