Mr. Pilarski was a very nice man. I would see him every Sunday as a greeter at St. Thomas More. He always greeted my two young daughters with a big smile, and sometimes would give them a "high five". My children loved it. Very sorry to see that he has passed, but his kind gestures will never be forgotten.

I grew up in Carrboro and was friends in school with Joe. I remember Plantation Acres and surrounding areas used to get together for a feast on new years day. I remember Jerry and Doris being there and part of the group. The whole family was involved with our family. Mike Campbell
