"Margaret and Chuck Antle arrived in Chapel Hill around the same time as ourselves. We quickly became fast friends along with some other new arrivals. Our children grew up together. Jointly we learned how to navigate UNC, Chapel Hill, and North Carolina. Over the years, we had picnics, we went to the beach, and we frequently on a Sunday afternoon took a walk in Duke Forest usually including the family dog who gave such pleasure to Margaret, followed by snacks and drinks in the evening. Margaret, Chuck, and family were our delightful friends, we were a whole. Our conversations were easy, discussions were thoughtful, values were shared, futures were unknown, satisfactions were enjoyed, and disappointments were managed.
