Dear family and especially Mrs. Wood,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of Dr. "Bill", one of the kindest men i have ever known. I graduated from UNC SOM in 1989 and my wife(Rebecca) and I attended University Presbyterian church. During this time Dr. "Bill" became a role model and mentor for this young nascent physician. A Deeply penetrating intelligence, kindness and joyful are the words that he brings to mind. Thank you for sharing him all those years with those of us who were the itinerate population of Chapel Hill. I can truly send him my love and admiration.
