Obituary of Belinda Kay Layne

Belinda Layne, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 18, 2021.

Belinda was born on December 29, 1947 to Charles and Faye Boggs.  She grew up in Athens County Ohio where she attended The Plains High School.  Belinda called many places in Ohio home and was currently living in Prospect Hill, NC.

Belinda loved reading, working on genealogy, riding on trains, and visiting the Outer Banks.  She held many retail positions, taught homeschool and was a master gardener.

Belinda will be dearly missed by her loving family.  She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Tim Layne, her dog Daisy, her daughters and sons-in-law:  Kathi and Dave Pratt, Terri and Don Davis, and Sharon and Nick DeLembo; her son and daughter-in-law:  Charles and Rebecca Layne; her sister and brother-in-law:  Nora and Jeff Wallace, and her brother Carroll Everett Boggs.  Belinda was fondly known as Granny by her grandchildren: Holden, Harper, Ali, Hazel, Becca, Mia and Elijah.

Belinda was predeceased by her parents and brothers Jimmy, Charles, and Robert Boggs.

To honor Belinda's wishes, a private family memorial service in the Outer Banks will be held at a later date.
