Obituary of Eunice Crane

Eunice Durham Crane, 89, of Mebane, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 16, 1932, to the late Charles Cicero Durham and Ruth Woods, both deceased. She was married to Mr. Ira Boggs Jr and Mr. William Crane, both deceased. She was a care giver for many years for the elderly and a member of Hillsborough Church of God, the Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed playing Bingo. She attended the ACC Baking School and was a former Manager at Best Western.

Her special interest was in writing, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed hosting, entertaining and spending the day by the pool. Her dream was to travel once again to Hawaii and Alaska.

Eunice is survived by her children, Clara L. Johnston and husband Harry, Kenneth D. Boggs, Wanda Welch and her husband Ricky, Jimmy Crane and Julie, Carrie Mullins and husband Clint, Anita Harris, and daughter in law Carol Boggs. Also surviving Eunice are her Grandchildren, Barry Johnston and wife Cindy, Blake Johnston and wife Ashley, Darrell Boggs and wife Kim, Tonya Coley and husband Michael, Misty Walker, Renee Boggs, Tony Smith and wife Marie, Donald Boggs, and Kevin Boggs. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Isaiah Johnston, Kaleb Johnston, Adalynn Johnston, Jeremy Boggs, Nicole McCormick and husband Dustin, Sarah Evans and husband Matthew, Megan Coley, Anthony Boggs, and Sabrina Mays, also surviving Eunice are her great great grandchildren, Alexander, Braxton and Dakota Evans and Emory McCormick. Other than her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Eunice is survived by one brother, Adrian Durham and wife Carolyn.

She was preceded in death by four sons, David W. Boggs, Bobby J. Boggs, Bill Crane, Reid Crane and one granddaughter, Carmen. Also, her siblings, Josephine Durham, Maybelline Durham, Gayrine Robbins, Charles Cicero Durham Jr., Jasper Luther Durham, Marvin L. Durham, and Jane Harrison.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Walker’s Funeral Home of Mebane, 304 W. Center Street, Mebane, North Carolina.

A Service to Celebrate the Life of Eunice, will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Hillsborough Church of God, 2412 NC-86, Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278 at 1:00pm with the burial to follow at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2362 Brucewood Road, Haw River, North Carolina 27258.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in honor of Eunice to Hillsborough Church of God.
