MEBANE - Mr. Earl Jackson "Jack" Hinshaw, 89, of Mebane, died Monday, September 10, 2012 in White Oak Manor in Burlington following a brief illness.
Jack was born on May 11, 1923 in Alamance County, NC to the late Clyde I. and Laur Carter Hinshaw. He was the owner and operator of Hinshaw Cabinet Shop for 39 years and was a member of Burlington First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife of almost 66 years: Doris Hoover Hinshaw of the home; son: Dwayne Hinshaw (Janeice) of Burlington; daughter: Beverly H. Walker (Kemp) of Graham; brother: Virgil Hinshaw (Josie) of Burlington; grandchildren: Brandon Walker of TN, Holden Walker of Graham and Michael Hinshaw of Burlington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Ross and Floyd Hinshaw.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Burlington First Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Jerry McCant. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday at Walker's Funeral Home in Mebane and other times at the home.
