Mark Drogos, 63, passed away on October 18, 2022 in Durham, NC following a battle with cancer.
Mark was born on March 11, 1959 in Chapel Hill, NC to his parents, Eugene and Evelyn Drogos. He attended Chapel Hill High School, and graduated from Wake Technical Community College. He married the love of his life, Linda White in 1986 and they built their life together in Durham, NC. They have two children, Masie, born in 1989 and David, born in 1999. Mark worked alongside his sister-in-law, Sheryl Morgan, at Morgan's Property Management. Mark was a supportive, loving, and devoted husband, father, and son. He was a diehard Carolina fan, supporting his UNC Tar Heels for over 60 years. He was an avid fisherman, who loved going to the OuterBanks every year with his fishing brothers. Mark loved to cook and was especially known for his chicken wings, barbecue and deep fried turkey. Mark had a great sense of humor and was constantly making people laugh and smile. He had such a big heart and love for animals as well, there was never a stray that didn’t have a home if Mark was around. From a young age, Mark loved to tinker and fix things from cars, to electronics, to things around the house. He loved to share his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. Mark was a people person and everyone he met became a friend. He would give the shirt off his back to help others, anytime, anywhere.
Mark is survived by his wife, Linda Drogos, his two children Masie and David Drogos, his mother Evelyn Drogos, his sister Mary Marchman, and beloved pets Athena, Jayden, and Khana. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Drogos, and siblings Helen, John, and Richard Drogos.
