Obituary of Sudie Wynn Singletary

Sudie Wynn Singletary, 85, of Hillsborough, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at UNC Hospice in Pittsboro, North Carolina. She was the wife of Willie D. Wynn and Ben Dick Singletary, both deceased. She was born on October 24, 1937 to the late John Henry Dickey and Fannie Mae Trimm Dickey, both deceased.

She loved to travel, love shopping and eating out and she was always the first person to be counted on when someone needed help. She was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church in Hillsborough.

Sudie is survived by one son, Charles Winfred Wynn of Mebane; one nephew, John E. Dickey Jr. of Hillsborough, one niece, Wendy D. Shelley and two sisters-in-law, Rebecca Dickey of Hillsborough and Sally Wynn of Mebane and also numerous great nieces and nephews.

Other than her two husbands and her parents, Sudie was also preceded in death by, one brother, John Dickey Sr. and one sister Betsy D. Miller.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Walker’s Funeral Home of Mebane with Pastor Hoyt Shuford officiating, The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm and the burial will follow the service in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.
