Obituary of Karen Ann Pope

Karen Ann Rountree Pope age 61 passed peacefully on Sunday Dec. 18^th At Duke Hospital. She will missed by her friends, family, and coworkers at Child and Family Policy at Duke University.

Karen is survived by her Husband, Bill Pope, and her daughter Abbey (Ash) Pope, her sister Patricia Rountree Staffeldt & her Brother Robert Guy Rountree.

Due to health concerns, a public service will not be held. A private service will be arranged for a later date. Per Karen’s wishes and those of her family, her ashes will be reunited with those of her deceased parents Robert and Hazel Rountree in Sunbury, N.C.

In lieu of Flowers, the pope family requests that contributions be made to their favorite non-profit organization. 

Walker Funeral Home in Mebane is serving the Pope Family.
