Obituary of Richard Alan Cook

Richard (Ricky) Alan Cook went to be with The Lord on January 25^th, 2023, at 4:53 PM. Ricky was a kindhearted, loving family man. He is survived by his sisters Cheryl Stroud (Bob) and Elaine Goldberg, his son Erik and his grandson Austin. He also leaves behind his Ex-Wife and best friend Kimberly Moore Cook along with many nieces and nephews. Ricky is predeceased by his Mother Merelle Olive Cook, Father Clyde Landon Cook and his “Beffy”, Bethany Lehman Miller Cook.  He is quoted as saying “My family is my life. Without Erik, Austin, my sisters, Kim and Sawyer (his loving doggy companion to the end) I wouldn’t know what to do.” Ricky woke up every day ready to have fun and he did just that every chance he got.  He spent his days at his home on Harkers Island or at his home in Raleigh with Sawyer always by his side.  Ricky leaves behind a legacy of love, caring and compassion with his family being his main focus. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Greenville ECU Health Medical Center. Ricky’s services will be held at Walkers Funeral Home February 11^th at 2 pm (204 North Churton Street Hillsborough, NC 27278)
