Obituary of Helen Marie Dunman

Helen D. Dunman, 88, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Compass Health and Rehab Center in Mebane, North Carolina. A native of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Helen was born on February 17, 1935 to Arthur Charlie Dunnagin and Emily Young Dunnagin, both deceased. She was the wife to the late George Dunman and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by two sons; Steve Dunman and Randy Dunman and his wife Nancy; two daughters, Cathy Fearrington and her husband Kenneth and Brandy Wilson and her husband Stephen. Helen also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Kenny Fearrington, Casey Morton, Caleb Dunman, Randall Dunman, Kelsi Dunman, Ciera Setliff, Cody Dunman, Emily Dunman, Kate Lloyd, Daniel Dunman, Tyler Wilson and Christian Wilson and also 22 great grandchildren. Also surviving Helen is one sister, Carolyn Woodard and her husband Ray.

Helen was preceded in death by three children, JoAnn, David, and Diana; one great grand son, Ethan and three siblings, Delma Dunagin, Frances Capps and Thelma Williams.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11:00am at Walker’s Funeral Home in Mebane, with the family receiving friends from 9:45 – 10:45 prior to the service. The committal will immediately follow the service at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Efland.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Compass Health and Rehab in Mebane and AuthoraCare Hospice for their care and compassion shown towards Helen.
