I am forever indebted to this fine doctor and man. I was born with severe scoliosis and my mom was told I would never sit up or walk. I came under Dr. Wilson’s excellent care early in life and saw him every few months for years. He put off surgery for as long as he could to allow my spine time to grow but when I was 9 years old, I underwent an 8 level fusion. (T4-T12). I was in a body cast for a year but since then, I have done whatever I wanted to do. He is a fine doctor! I always liked him and enjoyed my visits, even up to the time I was a student at Carolina in the 80s. I knew he was mortal but I didn’t want to believe it. Rest easy doc. Prayers for the family.

Quick and sometimes frightening educator. Will always remember him challenging the chief residents at the 1990 retreat on the lake to a swim and beating us all. Beat me at tennis…very crafty. I’m sure he will be missed. Mark torke md.
