Katie was such an important person for me in my times at Ipas. She always supported me and taught me so many things. She also encouraged me as I was deciding what to do next since I have reached a crossroad in my professional career. One of my favorite persons at Ipas for sure. I am glad I had a chance to see her at the 50th year anniversary. Rest in peace, dear Katie.

Katie was an incredible role model to all, and especially to young people. She was a great example of an accomplished professional woman who was an excellent manager, strong and compassionate. A woman who was confident, who did not hide her feelings and who cared for others. It was wonderful to see Katie (and Ann) at the Ipas 50th anniversary in April.

We had so much fun meeting Katie and Zack and Cully’s wedding(s). We talked about photography, travel and music and we stayed in touch on social media. She felt like family to us so quickly, and we feel so lucky we got to have her in our lives. We will miss her! -Em and Josh

The East High School, Memphis, TN Class of 1970 remembers Katie very fondly from our senior year, 1969-1970. She won several prestigious awards. Among other things, Katie was a cheerleader. It was a very large job to be the assistant editor of the class yearbook.
