Brenda Griffin Minnis

March 8th, 1945 - October 17th, 2023

Mrs. Brenda Griffin Minnis passed away Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.  Brenda was born March 8th, 1945 to the late Leon Brooks Griffin and the late Hazel Mae Wicker Smith.  Brenda attended Durham High School, Durham Technical Community College to get her GED after which she worked  at IBM for 25 years until early retirement in 1992.

Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was an avid painter.  She loved all animals, but had a special love for Chihuahuas and mini horses.  She was predeceased by her grandfather Leslie Griffin of Durham who raised her, her daughter Leslie Webb Osorio, a granddaughter Alexandra Osorio, a granddaughter Kaylee Osorio, a sister Kathy Stallings, and a sister Karen Griffin.

Brenda leaves behind her husband O'dell Cecil Minnis, Jr. of Efland, her children Dana Webb Perry of Efland, Regan  (Jason) Jolly of Hillsborough, and a step-daughter Britt (Randall) York of Mebane, her grandchildren, Brandi Conklin, Morgan (Jonathan) Evans, Richard (Destiny) Minnis, Jacob (Michaela) Jolly, Gela Perry, Ryleigh (Spencer Oakley, Alex Hathaway, and six great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, 28th of October in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be 12-2 P.M. prior to the service.
