The Ship
Life is like a journey, across a troubled sea
Sometimes you need two captains, because you cannot see.
There are times when you're too tired, you need a partner at the wheel
The waves may toss our ship around, but we're there for each other I feel
We were meant to be together, for opposites do attract
It's yin and yang, both good and bad; you make up what I lack
Fate brought us both together, it was our destiny
The child we both created, that's a part of you and me
So let us take this journey, a journey meant just for us three
I know not where the current leads, but it's where I want to be
I love you as my partner, the mother of my child
I could not have chosen better, if I searched for life's long while
We don't have all the answers, and we don't always speak so nice
Our marriage, it may bind us, but our love makes it suffice
Don't ever doubt I love you, or the strength to make it last
If you will be the sails for me, then I will be your mast.
Allen Austin
