Rob will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful mentor, acquaintance, and teammate. He gave us so much knowledge about turbo aerodynamics and helped us in our jobs. He knew I liked Apple and Linux and gave me his Mac Pro and monitors, so I could continue his project of running Linux on Mac. Since I already had a small system, I transferred the gift to the late Shashi Raghavendra, because he was starting to get excited about this type of computer system. I gave Rob updates, and he was thrilled. I enjoyed talking about, and riding in, his Porsche Boxster for the occasional lunch with David Roque and that group of great people. Rob had many friends, because he was a joy to be around. I have no doubt his joy came from God, because we were excited to talk about that, also. I hope it's a while before I see him in heaven, but until then, I will treasure the memories.

Rob has been a true friend for over 23 years. He was thoughtful, gentle, kind, he was a truly wonderful human being. In addition to being a gifted engineer, he was inspiration to everyone that worked with him. I will miss him more than words can express

Ich schätze mich sehr glücklich und bin sehr froh, eine Freundschaft mit Robert erlebt zu haben, die Jahrzehnte überdauert hat. Eine solche Freundschaft findet man nur sehr selten. Und ich vermisse ihn so sehr, dass ich es nicht in Worte fassen kann.

I am grateful for knowing Rob since I came to the States 28 years ago. Through my interaction with him at RPI and cd adapco. He always extended help and advice to his colleague and provided intelligent and simple solutions to challenging topics. He was quiet, hardworking, and an exceptional Engineer and Friend. He was always smiling with a peaceful demeanor even when he was very sick. Robs’ memory will always be remembered as a true friend. My deepest condolences to his parents, brother and sister and their families.
