Obituary of Robert Nelson Ferry- Leeper

Robert Ferry-Leeper died at home on Monday, July 22, 2024 after a long period of poor health. He was born in 1957 in Enid, Oklahoma. Following his high school graduation in Williamsburg, VA, he served in the US Navy. He later worked in various fields, including psychiatric health, market research, and security. He volunteered with the Group B Strep Association and the Orange County Mental Health Association. He enjoyed outdoors activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping.

Bob was a member of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Wanda Leeper, and by his daughters, Felicity Margaret and Ariel Rosa Leigh Ferry-Leeper. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Penny Ferry-Leeper, and by his siblings and their spouses: Jeff and Beverly Leeper and Lisa and Chad Pape, and by in-laws Jim and Janice Ferry. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their families.

There will be a military burial at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at Goldsboro at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
