Obituary of Betty Sue Hyder

It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Sue Hyder announce her passing on September 22, 2024, at the age of 76,She died at home with her husband Don of 49 years holding her hand as she quietly passed.

She was survived by her husband Donald Paul Hyder of 49 years, her daughter Melissa Hyder and sister Margaret Gates Williams.

Her parents were the late Charles Cox Wilkinson, Jr .and Lydia Mae Browning Wilkinson. She was also preceded in death byher brothers Billie Cox Wilkinson and Maris Dale Wilkinson.

Sue had a warm caring spirit, always putting others first. She had a sweet nature about her and gave the best hugs. Her yard was always filled with birds, butterflies and flowers. Prior to her retirement, she worked many years at May Apparel (Peaches & Cream) and Carolina Gym Supply in Hillsborough. 

Walker’s Funeral Home will be assisting with a small family service.
