Memory. Wells Beach circa 1977. Beers were flowing well into the night. All the boys and girls were there. Boys were shooting beers back and Mike offered a challenge. A punch to his stomach and then he would shoot a beer. I challenged, I lost. Mike shot a Rolling Rock and I was on my way to the hospital to get my hand in a cast…. Sending so much sympathy, affection, and love to Mary, Sean, Liz, and to the whole Nemitz family! Mike's departure feels like a huge loss. I remember so vividly his personality, his spirited conversations, his affability. I remember his enthusiasm for Vinalhaven, for carpentry projects, for his buddies and for his whole family. And that keen little sparkle in his eye when he would start telling a story. What a beloved, beloved man. With hugs and a tear XOXO Beth
