Lord, please take care of my brother, Andy. My heart is aching. I can't believe that we are just now finding out that you are gone eight months after your passing. We were neighbors by location 5 years ago but we are family by choice forever.
You managed to be a big brother, protector and playmate to my girls and myself. You will always be remembered and we will love you till infinity :,(

I have sooooo many memories of Andy. They range from him scaring and threatening guys to playing dance revolution on crutches and a leg cast. OMG! I remember you had just gotten into a bike crash a few weeks after I met you and I asked you were you okay and told you not to ride again and you were like "I'm fine, I ain't dead and I love my bike" then you proceeded to invite me and my sister in to play dance dance revolution with you and we were both just looking at each other like there's no way that you could play. Boy, you shocked us both! haha and you were still pretty good at it with two crutches, a cast, bandages and all. The other memory that I have is when I was dating my boyfriend (ex boyfriend now) and you would always tell me "he needs to walk you to the door, he needs to wait til you go in before he leaves, you're too beautiful for him, you don't need a boyfriend, be single" not to mention the various guys you threatened haha! Oh and this one time my sister and I skipped out on school (pretending to be sick) and you told us to meet you outside because you could hear our music and you knew we weren't sick and you were taking us out to eat. All I remember saying was "No, I can't I'll get in trouble I told my mom I was sick she's going to be mad" and you said, "Call her right now! I'll talk to her but we're going so come on!" You were like the big bro I never had and I appreciate you for it. You were such an amazing person during your time on Earth and I know you're really bringing some excitement to Heaven! :) I'll never ever forget you and I guess now I can stop stalking every police car in Hillsborough just to see if it's you. I miss you terribly and the memories that you have left me and my family with will never ever be forgotten. You were the most awesome policeman I've ever met! Thank you for everything.

Dear Andy,
To me today is October 14th,2011 because I received the news from a local cop that works nearby. I know it's been about a year since I have seen you but there isn't a moment that I haven't thought when I see a police car in Hillsborough that "Hey mommy I wonder if that's Andy". I broke down today at the news that you were gone, I didn't know.... I hadn't heard anything. I love you dearly and want to thank you for being my neighbor for as long as you were and really being protective over my sister and me. We truly enjoyed playing dance revolution at your house and throwing snow balls. I hope you steady watch from above & I thank you for being the friend that you were.

I have so many memories with Andy it's hard to just pick one. I'll share one crazy and one sweet one. One cozy evening, when Andy lived on Bridford, the two of us, Justin and Arley walked down the road to the Circut City parking lot, and proceeded to act like "jackasses". :-) We took turns climbing into a shopping cart and then pushing each other really fast from across the lot into a curb that sent us flying into some bushes. I remember the cart flipping up over my head and coming down on me. I was cheerleading at the time, and all the bruises that you could see when in uniform made people think I had been abused. It hurt so bad but was probably of the top 3 most fun and stupid things I've done. Then sweet Andy... I was pregnant at 16 and embarassed to go out a lot. He came over to see me one day and invited me to a movie. I was concerned how he'd look walking around with a pregnant girl. He said "F*** 'em. Let 'em think it's my baby. I don't care." And when we got to the theater he put his arm around me and made me feel like I wasn't alone in my situation. We saw "Ali" and I had a great time. He was so supportive, and just a really great friend. I loved him to pieces. Everytime one of us lost touch for a while, the next time we spoke it was like we'd never stopped. Always picking up right where we left off. And he always stopped by to see me when he came into town. Andy was a wonderful, thoughtful, stand up kind of guy. I can't believe he's gone. The world just isn't the same without the possibilty of him popping up at my door one day. :'-( To those as close and closer to him than this, I hurt for you too. Keeping Andy Sr and other family members in my thoughts and prayers.

Not many people called you Joey........ but i did. Not many people can say they hung out with you on a daily basis through highschool..... but i can. Not many people can say they tore up many a bike trails with you and hit every jump in the neighborhood we could possibly find.....but i did. We blasted thousands of paintballs on each otherand on more than a few neighborhood mailboxes as well. I wonder how many people had to buy new mailboxes because of our presteine rock throwing accuracy?? Alot im sure. I saw the jeep being built from the ground up! What a beauty it was. Thanks for the fighting skill i accuried from you over the years. Came in handy over time i must say. never give up is a lesson i will take with me everywhere. You always had my back bro and I will never forget that. Im proud to call you my brother. Friends come and go but brothers are forever! The good die young, but your memory will never fade away. I'll make sure of that Joey!! I love and miss you bro!!

You wasn't only my brother but one of my best friends as well. Anytime I needed you you was there even if it was a call late at night or you calling me between 12 and 4 am. I'll never forget all the good and bad times we have had, or the times yiou ran boys off threatining to beat them and some you actually did lol. I remember you waking me up in the middle of the night to go ride fourwheelers or dirt bikes, there was the one time we got back at about 1 am when I was like 10 and you was 14 at daddy's and we got caught and the witch told us to go in or she was goin to wake daddy up so I went in and you just told her to go wake him up you didn't care lol. You got in trouble for that unsurprisingly lol. Or the time you wouldn't let me ride bikes unless I could do the tricks you and Jimmy did and you bunny hopped onto a board and rode it out and when I tried my bike came out from under me because the boards was wet and I ripped my elbow to the bone and you just laughed at me and momma had to take me to the hospital lol. There are so many thoughts that run through my head constantly everyday theres no way I could ever put up all of our memorys.Your neices love you as well Jaydah will never forget you and I show Ariel pictures everyday and she still reconizes her uncle Doey lol. I keep candles burning everyday for you. I miss you so much and still love you so much more. <3 <3 <3

Sorry for your lost buddy, it was an honor having you guys there as my friend when times were not so fun. You both were so easy to talk to:) and thank you for always being there to listen, give support, but most of all to laugh with! My prayers go to you and hope you find comfort that I did talk with him about if he was saved and he did confess that he had accepted Jesus in his heart. He went to my church a few times and served on the welcome team with me, we had some good laughs, Stephanie and my good friend her sister Heather were there. I didn't get a chance to know Steph too well but her sister was like a sister to me @ New Horizon Church. Just hope you all find comfort in knowing this is just "see you later" not goodbye forever.

I remember he was a wonderful person who seemed very happy every time I was around him or talked to him. He bragged so much about Abbi and how much he was happy with Stephanie. He always made me laugh and brightened my day. He was an awesome cousin which I shared many memories with him... like camping and swimming, going to the beach and I remember going to the museum and all the jokes he made the whole time. I remember four wheeler rides at uncle Andy's house that scared the crap out of me. I will always love you Joey and never forget you... Thank you for serving for our country and then serving for your community. You were a truly amazing person. I just wish I could tell you that I love you.

Andy you were such an awesome guy, kept the tough guy officer thing going, but I got to see your sweet side also. Thank you for always keeping me company and chatting with me when I bored at "work" at the substation, you never failed to help the time fly by. It was admirable to see your love for Stephanie, boasting of her beauty to me and showing me pictures of her and your sweet baby girl. My favorite memory of you was when I was so caught up in chatting and washing the car I dropped the hose and it got locked on spray pointing directly at YOU lol, all in uniform you got a little wake up shower haha. Good news though buddy, last I saw you, you were kinda irritated at me because I went back to my abusive husband and said I had more patience than you, well he hit me for the last time a few weeks ago and I swear on my life and for the sake of my 2 baby girls WE ARE OVER, DV court tomorrow and divorce court soon after. I don't care if people think I'll go back to him, because I know I won't and God does too. If I would've known the last time I saw you was that quick water bottle stop before dance class when you were there with Billsky, I wouldn't have been so "rush rush". I asked you before if you were saved and you told me you were, so that brings me tremendous comfort knowing you are with our heavenly father. We could talk on the phone for hours, about the most random funny things, or while you played guitar and made up crazy songs :'(..You made everyone smile, and I wish I could see your smile again.. On the nights that I'd worry about you b/c of work, you would tell me not to because "Only the good die young" and I never understood that because I thought the world of you. I am going to miss you brother. I enjoyed working with you as an officer and I enjoyed having you as a personal friend. A small man but big heart and bit like a bull dog. I could always count on you to have my back out there in the field and I did not have to worry too much about you out there on your own. You were sharp in uniform and very aware of the dangers on the street. Until we meet again I will carry on what we as officers enjoyed doing together. Love ya brotha!

Andy, You truly were like a brother to me in so many ways. I will always remember how proud you were to show me the video of the wedding and how you showed me the pictures of Abbigail at least ten times. I always felt a little safer knowing that you were working with me. You should always be remembered for how you would always go to any length to help your friends.The good times we spent together training dogs will remain with me the rest of my life....we will do it again someday.

I only met you once, but I remember being so excited to finally meet my "lost" family. You made me feel comfortable the second you and Stephanie walked in the door. I know you were very loved, and after meeting you, I fully understand. It's impossible not to love you, kid. And even though it was a brief reunion, I am so glad we had last thanksgiving to finally meet. I wish we had more time, but that meeting will be a great family memory for the rest of my life and I want to thank you for being such a big part of it, and making my dad wear a sumbrero
