Betty you were like a second mom to me for so many years. I believe that your grace and goodness helped shape me in many ways and you’ll always have a special place in my heart. I’d like to send a big hug to your girls that will miss you greatly but will find peace in knowing that you and Bob are reunited in Heaven!

I grew up in Hillsboro (as it was spelled then) Betty Lou lived only two blocks away. She and 3 of my 5 sisters were about the same age, so all the girls which included the Strayhorn girls, hung out at my house on Union St. My memory of Betty Lou is that she was beautiful and from about 5 to 7 years old I had a real crush on her. She would have been 15 to 17 years old then. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I last saw Betty a few years ago and she was just as pretty as when we were young. I will have her family in my prayers and God bless you all. David Brandon Lloyd

The Mounce family would like to offer our condolences for the loss of a truly wonderful person. I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time at the McClintock house for a few years. While Mr. McClintock was introducing me to golf and giving me the scary dad look , Betty never failed to make me feel at home and to make sure I had plenty of great food to eat while there. For many years I would drop by her office just to say hello and catch up and Betty always had that infectious smile to help me feel better and great advice to go along with it. My wife Sara says she feels like she knows Betty because I speak of her often and always with a smile on my face. I thought of Betty as my 2nd mom and I am deeply saddened by her passing. The world was a better place with Betty McClintock in it.
