When I see the name Walker's Funeral Home, I think of Wallace Womble. I think I will see him at every funeral. I know he has been retired for along time, but I still miss him. My husband Cecil was buried by Walker's yesterday. He and Wallace almost arrived in Heaven at the same time. They are probably up there talking Tar Heel basketball.! To Ruth Womble and Family: We were so sorry to hear of Wallace's death. We want very much to be there with you but health problems prevent us from traveling. We will be there with you in our thoughts and prayers. We have wonderful memories of Wallace that we will cherish forever, especially in growing up as we lived so close to one another.
