Gertrude was a wonderful Lady. She was a child of God a wife a mother a sister an aunt and a great friend to have. She and my mother were good friends throughout their lives. I have found memories of Gertrude Ann and Christine they were wonderful ladies. I'll carry those memories and moments in my heart. Im sure Gertrude and Calvin are dancing on street's of gold. Calvin sure loved Gertrude and she loved him! Im sure her sister's and other loved one's were waiting at the gate to welcome her home. Prayers for Janet as she has lost her mother and best friend. Wait for me at the gate I'll see you when my chores are done my dear friend ❤

I don't think I ever knew about our grandfathers being related, so all the years I thought that you had married into another Ashley clan and we weren't related that way, it turns out we were related another way. I'm glad you shared this with me.

My thoughts and prayers for the family. Mrs. Ashley was a great Christian lady and a wonderful wife to my cousin Mr. Calvin Ashley. Rest in peace Mr. and Mrs. Ashley together again. Love Steven Baker.
