I just heard about this and am heart broken. I was fortunate enough to work with Dee. He had the biggest heart of anyone I know and would absolutely do whatever he could to help others. Everyone who got to know Dee, just loved him because he brought such a warm energy to everyone he encountered. I feel fortunate to have been able to get to know him and am torn up that he was taken so soon. I commit to helping pass on the kind spirit he shared with me with others - like a candle that lights other candles.

Sending prayers and my condolences to Dee's family. I worked with him in Chapel Hill a few years ago and he was such a nice guy. He was always offering a helping hand kind word. Dee will surely be missed be many. Rest in peace my friend.

Dee, There are so many memories that they are hard to list. From sports to pool to Ernie's game room. You will be missed my friend and I am sure Ernie was there to greet you. Hillsborough has lost another good one. RIP my friend.
