I will miss calling you after work to chat about the day. I will miss sending pictures of our dinner and receiving pictures of your dinner and comparing notes- I will miss the joy I heard in your voice when you talked about Marvin, Jeff, and Barrett - I will miss the excitement you shared about rearranging furniture, especially in someone else’s house - I will miss your gentle reassurance that things will work out - I will miss your rsvp to our Christmas celebration or any invitation to our house (always first) - I will miss your “beautiful singing” and expression on your face when you sang - I will miss your strength - I will miss receiving your unconditional love -
I will miss you! I miss you!❤️

Dear Debbie,
I will always and forever cherish our memories at the beach! From watching (or not watching) Rugrats at Figure Eight, to swimming in the canal at Wrightsville, to card games in the OBX, and (as Sutton says) “going to the beach right. now!” at Bald Head, and many many more. Our beach memories will always be some of my favorite family memories. I am so thankful that Sutton and Ella Stratton met you and got to know your beautiful spirit. The bunnies you gave to both of them as baby presents will always be a sweet reminder of your love. It brings me immeasurable peace to think of the giggles, games, and hugs you are sharing with Moan, Kermit, and your Daddy; and it brings me immeasurable joy to remember that we will ALL be reunited one day. We miss you, and love you forever.
Love,
Catherine

My husband, Wayne Reynolds, always shared fun stories of spending summers with the Williamson family at Carolina Beach. I finally had the great pleasure of meeting Debbie years later. Debbie was an encourager. During Wayne’s illness, Debbie encouraged us with notes and text. We will never forget her thoughtfulness. Our prayers are with the Williamson and Carver family.

Debbie brought such a happy, fun, and positive energy to everything she did. I remember having so much fun with her as a child on trips to the beach and family gatherings. When I was a freshman in college I came over to her house often to get my car that was parked there. I always loved our conversations and hearing about everything new with her whether it be a new interior design conference or what she was making for dinner. She just had an infectious zest for life always. I will miss her very much. ❤️

Mrs. Debbie,
I am beyond blessed to have your “precious Jeff” as my husband, and to be part of such a loving family. You were the sweetest, and always got so excited over the little things :) I will always cherish these wonderful memories, and will talk about you often.

Mrs. Caver, you were always such a bright light in the world! I’ll always remember moment I first met you on Bald Head Island and the day I got to marry my best friend and your daughter on that same island; along with many more memories in between.

Hey Debbie,
Thank you for being the best aunt anyone could ask for. I’m going to miss our adventures together. One of my favorite memories was going to Wilmington with you and moan and Marvin. We went to see a movie and then of course got a Java shake for dessert afterwards. I’m forever thankful for all of our fun memories together and will always cherish them.
Thank you for always texting me to make sure I arrived home safely. Thank you for always giving me a birthday present so I would have something to open the day after Christmas. Thank you for always making us smile and laugh. I love you so much and will miss you all the days to come. Until we meet again. Love, Margaret

I so regret that I was unable to be present today to celebrate Debbie’s life. My husband, Lee, and I met Debbie, Marvin, Jeff, and Berret through Phi Gamma Delta years ago, and we have many fond memories of Ekklesias together. I also have fond memories of swimming with the dolphins with Debbie in the Florida Keys while there for an Archons meeting. Debbie truly was a ray of sunshine, and I am blessed to have known her!

Dear Marvin and Carver Family: Unfortunately, I never got the chance to meet Debbie. But can always remember Marvin mentioning her many times when I'd come for business at Merrill offices. He lit up every time! You're a good husband Marvin! My sincerest condolences.

Jeff coming into our daughterAmanda’s life meant the opportunity to know Debbie & Marvin. Our love for our children led to dinners together and most recently sharing the Christmas holiday. Debbie was so gracious and kind even on days she didn’t feel her best. We even went to the UNC/Wake Forest men’s basketball game in February and enjoyed sharing our love of Carolina athletics.
Ken & I are so glad we had the opportunity to know Debbie and send our deepest sympathies to Marvin, Jeff, Barrett & all the friends and family who loved her.

Walking the beaches of North Carolina and California with Debbie and Marvin and my wife were always memorable and filled with joy and laughter. Debbie looked for those special rocks. She was the gem of life. As a visitor to their home on several occasions I had the opportunity to taste those special desserts. She was an exceptional woman.

Debbie loved egrets, the ocean, positive energy, great food, color, art, great design, and most of all her wonderful family. Never a taker and always a giver, she shared her light with all. I loved her as a friend and “sister” and will miss her never ending optimistic outlook. All of the Butler family grieves along with the Carvers, extended family and many friends. Debbie, we will miss you so very much. With a full heart of love clouded with profound sadness, Sally Butler
