Lorraine was a feisty, funny, resilient woman. Lorraine was always ready to go anywhere, anytime. We had many adventures together, such as our trip to England, France and Germany.
At CHHS, Lorraine was “Ms Mo” to students and staff. I never understood how she could run down the hall in high heels.
You are with Barry again and you can begin a new journey together.
I love you and will miss you. ❤️

What a treasure she was. One of the best English teachers, inspiring and animated to keep you engaged. She elevated my understanding of the writing process, the classics and made challenging books and vocabulary fun. Though I may not have
ever let it show, she enriched many lives with her ability to be passionate about literature and uncomplicated complex ideas in writing. Forever grateful to have a teacher of her caliber.

Lorraine was a treasure. Her laughter and smile would light up the room. She had a wonderful sense of humor and I always looked forward to our visits. To her family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her husband Barry in Heaven.
Sincerely,
Chris Richards and Christie Raleigh

Lorraine was a very direct and to the point kind of woman and she had a heart of gold. I met her thru my wife, Robin, and always enjoyed talking to her from the moment I met her. Our greatest memory/moment was when she travelled to WV with Donna, one of Robin's other co-workers, for our 25th wedding anniversary. She was a very special woman and although our time shared with her was brief, we will always remember those times fondly.
God bless Lorraine and may the entire family be comforted during this difficult time.

I’m so saddened to hear of her passing. I never had her as a teacher but she was my supervisor when I was a Security Guard at Chapel Hill High School. It amazed me how she would walk the halls, climb the steps and walk the campus in her high heel shoes with no hose on. When you saw her coming down the hall, she was a woman on a mission. As a bus driver for CHCCS, I would often go by her house and beep my bus horn. I would see her around town and we would chat for a few and she told me,”I can always tell when you go by.” She was a very power woman and I loved working under her. Prayers to the family.
