Obituary of Lorraine Rose Moriarty

Mrs. Lorraine Rose Moriarty, 91, of Chapel Hill passed away on August 1st, 2024.

A Massachusetts native, Mrs. Moriarty was the daughter of the late, Joseph Napoleon and Ulanda Tassanari Chouinard. She was a  member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where she faithfully attended since 1969.

Mrs. Moriarty was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Moriarty. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Barry Moriarty and wife, Joy; David Joseph Moriarty; one daughter, Barbara E. Moriarty; grandchildren, James Matthew Moriarty and Carl Barry Moriarty; great-grandchildren, Elijah Moriarty and Isaiah Moriarty. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 8th, 2024 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on from five until six o'clock on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 at Walker's Funeral Home, 11680 US Hwy 15-5-1, North, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 28517. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the charity of the donor's choosing.
